2006年以来，组织和参与组织各种国际学术会议，扩大了本学科的国际影响力。2010-2016年，连续 7年参与组织美国TMS（矿物、冶金、材料）年会国际高温冶金加工学术研讨会，姜涛教授先后当选为美国TMS学会火法冶金学术分会副会长、主席。
